WHY DO WE GAIN WEIGHT? Especially when working in an office setup.

Office workers gain weight in a desk job because they consume more calories than they burn. Due to long working hours it is very difficult for them to indulge in any physical activity; hence, they gain weight more rapidly than a person doing some physical activity.

A research paper was published in the year 2012; you can search it by typing - Sedentary Time in Adults and the Association with Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Death: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis, which says that these same people can ultimately lead to diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. These are all the problems that you could be setting yourself up for.

Research show that people who spend the most time sitting at the office or home and do not indulge themself in any physica;l activity have higher chances of developing type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and premature death compared to those people whon have active lifestyle. The study showed that sitting for long hours, is an independent risk factor for poor health and emphasized the importance of reducing sedentary time by incorporating more movement into daily routines.

When people get up from their desks, instead of walking, they head to the cafeteria or break room.

There simply is a complete disconnect between making it possible to become more physically active and avoiding sugary treats and junk.

Unfortunately, there are many types of professions where sitting at a desk for many hours at a time is unavoidable. But it's important to consider that it's still possible to achieve weight loss as an office worker.

1. Stop Snacking

Research from the World Health Organization has shown that the negative eating habits of office employees are directly tied to job-related pressure and the work environment.

In order to lose weight at work, you need to either stop snacking altogether or find healthier snacks like nuts that contain lots of healthy fats.

And don't think that switching to diet soda is a solution; there's plenty of evidence that artificial sweeteners can cause weight issues.

2. Stay hydrated

Hydration is very important for the body, it becomes more important when you are in air conditioner room throughout the day.

There's an effect called water-induced thermogenesis. If you drink a half a litere of water in about two minutes, you can boost your metabolic rate and burn more calories to shrink your fat cells.

And it's also a good idea to have a few cups of herbal tea for the fat-burning effect and its antioxidants. You can add any herb from these: ginger, coriander, fenugreek, cinnamon, etc.

How to use: Take a vessel with half a litere of water, add a spoonful of any one of the above herbs. Boil it until it is half. Pour the water into a glass. Taking it on an empty stomach in the morning can help with good digestion, which helps in maintaining weight with a clean diet and a good lifestyle.

3. Do Desk Exercises

  • The simplest exercise you can do while being in the office is climbing up and down the stairs; you can repeat 5-10 minutes of sets.

There are simple chair exercises you can do to lose weight. Simply get your legs straight under the desk, and balance on the front edge of the chair. Then dip your body down by flexing your elbows.

  • You can also do some squats to get some movement into your leg muscles.
  • And don't underestimate the effectiveness of stretching as one of the more low-impact ways to lose weight. It can also help people in a desk job to maintain better posture.

4. Set Reminders To Move

Another major problem with weight gain at the office is that people don't move from the time they get to the office until it's time for a lunch break. And then again sitting to have lunch.

You can add a reminder every 30-40 minutes on your mobile or smartwatch, which can remind you that it's time to move a little. This should add hundreds of steps to your working day and keep you metabolically active at a higher rate.

5. RIGHT SLEEPING A HEAVY DINNER

People with busy schedule, arrive very late at their houses from work and eat dinner very late, which leads to digestive problems, bloating, and acidity, resulting in weight gain.

6. AYUVYA DROP-IT TABLET

It is an Ayurvedic tablet that is specially designed to reduce excess weight naturally by improving digestion and gut motility. As it has the power of detox herbs like Triphala, Trikatu, Shuddha Guggul, Trimad, and Vrikshamala, which support healthy fat metabolism, help burn fat down, and also help control cravings and overeating.

7. AYUVYA DROP- IT JUICE

It is an Ayurvedic Juice which helps in reducing excess fat. As it has the combination of Aloe vera, Amla, Vrikshmala, Triphala, etc. Each of the ingredients helps in reducing the excessive fat & loss weight naturally.

CONCLUSION

Taking time out for daily exercise can be a little difficult for working professionals; that is why it is very important to incorporate some daily habits into your lifestyle to avoid excess weight gain. Some dietary habits, knowing when you are hungry, and eating an early dinner with some lifestyle changes can really help in a long run.
